Production and Release

Official announced in November 2019, with the Republic Day release 202. Story based on true events during the 1980s about some unforgettable hero's of the era. Bollywood Actress Vaani Kapoor's first film to be not produced by Yash Raj Films. Became the first Bollywood movie to start shooting amid the COVID-19 Pandemic in 2020. During which stopped shootings in India. The film's theatrical premiere postponed to 2 April 2020 in January 2020. The cast and crew of the film go to Glasgow and Scotland in the first week of August 2020. The filming kicked off on 20 August 2020. Wrapped up the film on 30 September in London. The film relase postponed due to second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic all India. Now the movie released finally in theatres on 19 August 2021 in 3D.

The film score composed by Daniel B. George, While Julius Packiam composed the trailer. The songs composed by Amaal Mallik, Tanishk Bagchi, Shantanu Dutta, Kulwant Singh Bhamra. Other is Gurnazar Singh and Maninder Buttar. At the same time, lyrics written by Rashmi Virag, Tanishk Bagchi, Babbu Maan, Seema Saini. The last one is Gurnazar Singh.

The Song Sakhiyan 2.0 is a remake of the 2018 Punjabi song of the Sakhiyan By Maninder Buttar.
